Reflect on What You Know

  1. What do you think of when you hear the word "decimal?" When did you first hear it? Give an example of a decimal part of something.
  2. What do you think the prefix "deci" or "dec" means? It comes from Latin. (Hint: How much is a decade?)

Introduction to Averages

We deal with averages every day when we describe the weather, calculate mileage or gas usage, or find how much we spent on a weekly or monthy basis in our bugets. Averages play a big role in medicine. This module will help you work with averages from different types of perspectives. Enjoy!
